NORTH EAST VIDEO PRODUCTION, NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE AND BEYOND
The Northern Storyboard is a scalable team of two creatives who both have 20 years of experience in commercial photography, documentary style video production and corporate storytelling. We are not what you might call 'content creators' or 'influencers'. Although we do create content that influences people.
We produce positive, short-form documentary films, promotional videos for use on websites, social media channels and big screens. We've worked throughout the UK and overseas for new and longstanding clients who are global and local. We were very proud to be commissioned by North Tyneside Council and NE Combined Authority to produce a series of videos that documented 800 years of heritage of North Shields and celebrated the events enjoyed in 2025. We then went onto produce a Christmas campaign video series for social media, that highlighted many businesses in the town, and encouraged pride in place.

We are professional film-makers who take extreme pride in our story-led videos. Our visuals are shot with the passion and eye of professional photographers with high end cameras and lenses. Our audio is recorded with professional equipment. Our content is story-led. and people centric.

The Molton Building, North Shields For this video project, we came up with the concept, wrote the script, interviewed the architect, shot the B roll, sent the drone up, recorded the VoiceOver, edited long and short versions and shared it via our media partners on YouTube and other social media channels. It had over 25,000 views on YouTube within a matter of weeks, and has driven much increased footfall to the cafe and the guest accommodation, which has since won an award. The video is also used in the building for educational purposes on open days. HOW DO WE WORK?

It couldn't be easier.
1. We work with our clients on the concept and hatch a plan.
2. We turn up at the venue and with the utmost friendliness and relaxed manner, conduct in-depth interviews with your people or person to get the story you need. While we're there, we gather or set up as much detail, aerial footage and ambient illustrative footage as possible, to further explain the story.
3. Back in the studio, we edit to your brief to suit the output media platform, whether it's 4K, HD, a 30 minute documentary, a 30 second story, a highlights reel, a 3 minute video. We can also create landscape and portrait versions as required..
We work with B2B corporate businesses, conference and exhibition organisers, awards show managers, charities, government agencies, healthcare providers, families with a life story and a heritage to document, and other organisations or individuals with specific target audiences.
